STRIDER 14X SPORT - convertible balance bike that converts to a pedal bike

Designed for children 4 to 7 years old

The Strider 14x Sport will give your child confidence and riding skills, opening up a world of adventure at a young age. As two bikes in one, it sets a new standard as the best first bike for any child and creates the foundation for instant success. After your child has mastered riding the 14x as a balance bike, your little rider is ready to pedal. Quickly attach the Easy Ride Pedal Kit and watch your child seamlessly transition to riding a pedal bike and accomplish this life-changing milestone!
Refined through years of prototypes and tested by eager 4- to 7-year-olds, the 14x is truly the next evolution of Strider Balance Bikes. The Strider 14x has been designed to grow with your child, and the included Learn-to-Ride material puts you in control of the best process available for teaching your child to ride.

The 14x Was Designed for a Proper Fit

Specifically designed for a child’s proportions, shorter crank arms make pedaling easier. We also designed the 14x to fit better between the rider’s hips. Its narrow design gives your child an easier and more powerful pedal stroke. A comfortable bike promotes instant success.

The 14x Grows with Your Child

The 14x is designed to grow with your child, which means it always fits. The 14x comes with a fully adjustable seat and handlebars, and it seamlessly transitions from a balance bike to a pedal bike. This easy transition builds confidence, provides instant success, and means a better value for parents.

The 14x Is the Best Way to Teach Riding

The low center of gravity gives your child complete control. It’s low enough that it teaches children how to stride and pedal effectively, while allowing them to put their feet on the ground whenever he/she wants. The narrow pedals make striding to gain momentum and pedaling with confidence a breeze.

The Strider Difference

Easy Conversion

The Strider 14x Sport makes switching between a balance bike and a pedal bike a breeze. The Easy Ride Pedal Kit easily attaches to the bike when your child is ready to pedal.

These custom footrests are easily removable once your toddler is ready to pedal. The unique traction pattern makes it easy for kids to confidently and comfortably stand on the footrest.

The 22.2mm, soft, polyvinyl grips prevent the ends of the handlebar from poking through, giving your child comfort and protection.

Specifically designed for a 4- to 7-year-old, our padded seat allows for comfortable riding position and posture. The Strider 14x features a long seat adjustment range for growing children.

With a plus-sized wheel diameter over a typical 12” kids bike, the 14” wheels are sized just right for ages 4 to 7.

The 44 mm (1.75 inch) width of the pneumatic rubber tires keeps the weight down and the traction up. The all-terrain tread pattern is ready for whatever adventure awaits.

Chain Guard

The provided chain guard delivers the safety to protect your rider from any bike chain accidents. Not only that, but it keeps the chain and gears clean from any mud or gunk that might be part of the adventure.

Stride-Around Pedals

The Stride-Around pedals are specially designed to serve two purposes. First, they fit a child's foot. Second, their narrow form allows children to stride around them to gain momentum.

Lightweight Design

With a weight of only 5.5 kg (12 lbs) while it’s in balance bike mode, the Strider 14x is light enough for your little one to take anywhere. After attaching the Easy Ride Pedal Kit, the weight increases to a mere 6.9 kg (15 lbs).

Learn-to-Ride Guides

    Best way to learn

Posted by Alexandra Barbu on 22nd Aug 2020

We started with the 12” Strider bike and then got the 14” with pedal kit. Our 3.5-year old daughter went from balance bike to pedals in 15 minutes and never looked back. Bypass training wheels all together- this is the way to go!!!

My son has been riding this bike only a couple months and he’s already mastered his balance and ready to attempt peddles!

    Awesome bike

Posted by Ramona on 23rd May 2020

Love this bike! We were impressed by the quality, better than expected even. The wheel were very stiff when we got it. The company immediately helped us out. The bike is fine now and our little girl has no problem with it. We picked this bike for an easy transition from balancing to pedalling. We like the shorter pedals so she can still use her legs on the ground as she’s learning. When we put the pedals on she was pedalling within ten minutes. She could already balance first of course but it did as advertised for us. It doesn’t feel too heavy and she has lots of room to grow. I am really happy with the purchase and have recommended to anyone who asks.

Bike was delivered very quickly. Nice looking and well built. My Granddaughter still is at the leaning stage but I don’t think it will take her too long. She is 3 years old and fits her well.
